Random Monday thoughts

  • I have a cold. My head feels heavy and I’ve been blowing my nose all day (charming, I know) But I’m getting better I think.
  • Yesterday I discovered that it’s not completely dark outside at 8am. It made me happy when I was walking to work just before 8 o’clock. (I hadn’t noticed this before as I’m normally not up around this time…) Spring and summer and bright summer nights are on their way.
  • I’m not taking any literature classes this semester and I strangely miss it. I’m in need of  some literature discussions! I might have to force my friends to start a reading group with me…
  • But not having to read literature for school means that I can read whatever I like and I started to read Anna Karenina this weekend. It has been on my “to read” list for a while now. I don’t know anything about the story and didn’t know what to expect. But I like what I’ve read so far, which is only about 100 pages. It’s all very russian and dramatic, lots of “oh”s and exclamation marks!

I’ve got some reading to do

I finally got round to buying the rest of the textbooks for this semester.

I have to get through this stack this semester. Actually there’s one book missing, the syntax book I need to buy is sold out. Yeah seriously, sold out…
And as you might guess I’m studying English – but that does not mean my English is perfect, so bear with me 😉 This stack doesn’t look so bad to me, I’m still very enthusiastic about my classes and determined to study hard and so on. Let’s see how I feel in a few weeks time!
