I feel extremely boring today. I guess that’s what a day of sitting home alone all day, staring at the computer and trying to write something does to you. The highlight of the day was seriously when I had some chocolate in the afternoon.
Boring, I told you.
I shudder at the thought of this summer’s BA thesis writing.
Well, in an attempt to make this post a bit more interesting…I give you Elton John’s Tiny Dancer. (btw I love the Tiny Dancer scene in Almost Famous. Haven’t seen that film for years!)
I’m in an Easter break coma.
Well, I managed to find a birthday present for Elísabet. At the very last minute I might add.
I bought an Alvar Aalto bowl – she is a fellow Scandinavian enthusiast – and then I made a MixCD for her. With lots of “our songs”. Songs that remind me of her and are in my mind connected to her. Possibly the most random cd ever made! Elísabet’s party was really nice. Well, I wouldn’t really call it a party. Just friends having dinner and then cakes. The star of the party was our 4 months old friend Magnús. The cutest guest by far!
I spent the whole day yesterday hanging out with friends. Shopping, eating pancakes, drinking coffee, playing darts.
And today was also a day of drinking coffee and eating good stuff – waffles this time! But now with my brothers, sister-in-law and some cousins.
So to sum it up: Weekend – food-cakes-friends.
And tonight I remembered that I am a university student and did a little bit of studying…
No sunday-blues this sunday!
Quiet day at home.
Listening to this:
I’ve been strangely relaxed and calm today.
Which makes the anxious me wonder. What’s up? Did someone drug me or something?
And it was strange and foggy outside today. It made everything very mysterious when I went out for a walk.
Tomorrow: Best friends birthday. And I still haven’t bought a present. Help!
I think I am the laziest person on the face of the earth.
I skipped a lecture at 10:00 am because I couldn’t wake up.
YES. 10 AM.
Instead I slept until 10:30.
No wonder that I can’t fall asleep at a decent hour in the evening!
Still at the parents’ house. And having a nice time. One quite convenient thing about my parents’ house is that one of my best friends lives across the street. So I have been for a more than a few visits over the past couple of days! His family must be fed up with me by now.
Me and said friend actually had a great time yesterday evening. And it involved face paint. A quiet friday night of board games gone wrong!
I love acting like a kid sometimes.
And I like having coffee with my friends.
And I like that my friend Elísabet has invited me to dinner tonight.
A time to get in the mood for Christmas, isn’t it?
Well, maybe not. These are just some photos since Christmas that I finally got around to upload to my computer.
And I felt like I needed to decorate this post.
Just got home from a rather unpleasant day at school. Unpleasant because it involved group work which is not something that the crazy social phobic in me likes doing! The teachers of this class I’m taking randomly put together some groups and today I met my group for the first time. None of us knew each other before this so this was the awkward first meeting. And we had to try and decide on a subject for our project while getting to know each other and all that.
Blah. Enough of that.
Now I’m going to supress all thoughts about group work and just watch Big Love.
The song I mentioned in the last post is still playing in my head.
